Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Tier 3 Network Engineer with strong expertise in Ruckus switches, Aruba switches, and Fortinet firewalls, along with solid experience in the hospitality industry (hotels and resorts).
This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal network performance in hospitality environments. Within this company, Tier 3 represents the highest level of engineering support (equivalent to Tier 6 in many organizations).
Key Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot captive portal solutions for hotspot authentication.

Build, rebuild, and manage Ruckus and Aruba switches in hospitality environments.

Configure and deploy Fortinet firewalls and gateways, including interface setup and Access Control Lists (ACLs).

Implement Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 networking, including VLAN configuration using DOT1Q (802.1Q) or ISL protocols.

Configure and manage Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) and Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP).

Configure switch stacks with multiple uplinks and set up QSFP Link Aggregation Groups for bandwidth optimization.

Manage Aruba Instant AP (IAP) devices and Aruba Central platforms.

Optimize wireless networks and address co-channel interference issues.

Integrate networking solutions with Property Management Systems (PMS) used in hotels and resorts.

Work with Ruckus and Aruba controllers and SmartZone platforms to optimize wireless networks.

Support Nomadix gateways and Solution IP for guest network connectivity.

Maintain and support multiple Fortinet security products.
Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience in the hospitality industry (hotels, resorts, or residential environments).

Hands-on experience with Ruckus, Aruba, and Fortinet networking equipment.

Strong knowledge of ACLs, VLANs, and Spanning Tree configurations.

Experience with firewall configuration, switch setup, and network security best practices.

Knowledge of Wi-Fi interference mitigation and wireless optimization.

Experience integrating network infrastructure with Property Management Systems (PMS).

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Technical Requirements

Must have dual monitors or be willing to set up a dual-screen workstation.

Reliable internet connection for remote work.
