About the Role

An upcoming finance house is seeking an experienced Head of Business Development Unit to lead its growth and market expansion efforts. The role focuses on driving deposit mobilization, expanding the lending portfolio, and building strong client relationships across retail, SME, and corporate segments.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with strong market knowledge and the ability to build high-performing business development teams.


Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategies for deposit growth and lending.
Identify new business opportunities within Warri and across Delta State.
Lead client acquisition and retention initiatives across retail, SME, and corporate segments.
Collaborate with credit, risk, and compliance teams to ensure responsible lending practices.
Mentor, manage, and grow the business development team.


Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (a Master’s degree is an advantage).
7–10 years of experience in business development or retail banking.
Proven track record in deposit mobilization and lending.
Strong leadership, networking, and market knowledge.
