About the Role

A remote opportunity is available for a 3D Slicer Specialist to manage medical imaging workflows and contribute expertise to projects involving advanced imaging analysis. The role involves working with DICOM data, performing segmentation and 3D reconstructions, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in fields such as radiology, neuroscience, and biomedical engineering.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with 3D Slicer and medical imaging workflows and can clearly communicate technical processes while supporting AI model training and research initiatives.

Role Responsibilities

Lead the full lifecycle of 3D Slicer projects, from raw imaging import to final processed outputs.
Perform DICOM imports, image segmentation, structure delineation, and advanced 3D reconstructions using 3D Slicer.
Execute image registration, quantitative analysis, and troubleshooting within the 3D Slicer environment.
Document and clearly explain workflows, clinical reasoning, and technical decisions.
Collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary teams including radiology, neuroscience, and biomedical engineering professionals.
Provide domain expertise to help train AI systems on expert 3D Slicer workflows and decision-making.
Identify and resolve software issues to ensure smooth end-to-end project delivery.

Requirements

Demonstrated professional expertise using 3D Slicer with full project lifecycle experience.
Strong background in medical imaging, radiology, neuroscience, surgical planning, or related fields.
Deep experience with DICOM workflows, segmentation, registration, and 3D visualization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Hands-on familiarity with 3D Slicer modules, extensions, and troubleshooting processes.
Proven ability to independently deliver high-quality technical projects.
Comfortable working remotely with cross-functional teams.
